Local audio and visual systems company now offers residential service

Survey shows consumers are now more interested in home technologies

BARRINGTON, NH, February 5, 2008 - PRO-AV LLC is now bringing the highest caliber of audio and visual support to the local residential market.

The Barrington-based company, which used to focus solely on commercial designs and installations, now offers home theater, whole house audio, structured wiring, projection systems, installation design and project management services to homeowners throughout New England.

Dave Meneely, co-founder of PRO-AV, said his company's service expansion is a result of consumer demand, which is supported by a recent survey by the Consumer Electronics Association and the National Association of Home Builders Research Center. That study suggests that home technologies are 71 percent more important to homeowners than they were in 2001.

"Setting up residential audio and visual systems is often outside a homeowner's, or even a builder's, comfort zone," he said. "There may be special installation and electrical requirements, decisions about the proper placement of equipment and even the challenge of picking the right remote package. We specialize in making sure our audio and visual components are well designed, correctly quoted, properly installed and within budget."

Meneely spent four years in the high-end residential market, designing and selling audio and visual systems in the greater Boston area. In April 2005, he and his business partner Matt Leccacorvi brought their experience and expertise to the commercial market in and around Barrington.
